Khandua Pata is one of the most popular sarees from Odisha Handloom as it is also offered to be draped around Lord Jagannath of Puri. The pure mulberry silk khandua pata is also popular for being extremely light weight. These sarees have symbols and motifs inspired from our culture and mythology which are weaved on to the sarees using tie & die Ikkat technique. This is also know as "bandha kala" and Khandua Silks are truly master pieces depicting culture of Odisha since 12th Century. These are available in both Silk and Cotton fabric. The true essence of a Khandua Sarees lies in the border and anchal that tells you stories if you have an eye for detail.

Pasapali Border. Pasa means "Chess" ; PasaPali means Chessboard. Its the game of Pasa that led to the war of Mahabharata. Inspired from this story, weavers had weaved this pasapali pattern on a saree which became very popular worldwide with the name of pasapali saree. This khandua pata saree has a royal blue pasapali border along with small phoda kumbha (temple) pattern.
