Modal Silk is a plant-based fabric crafted from natural wood pulp. It feels soft, smooth, and breathable, making it very comfortable for long wear in Indian weather. Modal has a beautiful drape, gentle shine, and strong durability, which gives the saree a rich look without being heavy.

Even though Modal is not real silk, people call it “silk” because it has a soft shine. This shine comes from the satin weave used while making the fabric, not from actual silk threads.

The fabric holds prints, colours, and mirror work very well, making it perfect for hand-crafted designs by our skilled karigars. It is also eco-friendly, uses less water in production, and stays in shape even after many wears.
