Khandua Pata is one of the most popular sarees from Odisha Handloom as it is also offered to be draped around Lord Jagannath of Puri. The pure mulberry silk khandua pata is also popular for being extremely light weight. These sarees have symbols and motifs inspired from our culture and mythology which are weaved on to the sarees using tie & die Ikkat technique. This is also know as "bandha kala" and Khandua Silks are truly master pieces depicting culture of Odisha since 12th Century. These are available in both Silk and Cotton fabric. An absolutely gorgeous green and black 4ply Khandua Silk Saree with animal motifs on the border. Nuapatna weavers have always been fascinated by animal motifs which is very prominent in many khandua silk and cotton sarees. This saree is a revived edition with 4 ply silk in the weft in stead of 3 ply like the regular khandua pata. The elephant and peacock motifs on the border maintain the traditional vibe while the same motifs in a multicolor weave add a touch of freshness.
