Khandua Pata is one of the most popular sarees from Odisha Handloom as it is also offered to be draped around Lord Jagannath of Puri. The pure mulberry silk khandua pata is also popular for being extremely light weight. These sarees have symbols and motifs inspired from our culture and mythology which are weaved on to the sarees using tie & dye Ikkat technique. This is also know as "bandha kala" and Khandua Silks are truly master pieces depicting culture of Odisha since 12th Century. These are available in both Silk and Cotton fabric. 4 ply pure silk in a black base. A nabakothi sans the boxes hence popularly known as nabarangi saree. Here, like a nabakothi saree, 9 motifs are arranged aesthetically across the width, all throughout the length of the saree. However, what makes this saree exclusive is the palla and detailed peacock motifs. A beautiful combination that has resulted in an absolutely stunning saree.
