The pure mulberry silk khandua pata is also popular for being extremely light weight. These sarees have symbols and motifs inspired from our culture and mythology which are weaved on to the sarees using tie & dye Ikkat technique. This is also know as "bandha kala" and Khandua Silks are truly master pieces depicting culture of Odisha since 12th Century. These are available in both Silk and Cotton fabric. The motifs are carefully placed to showcase their significance in Navagraha, Navaratri, and other cultural aspects. The saree is skillfully crafted using Odisha ikkat's renowned tie & dye technique, creating a visually stunning column pattern. It is also available in cotton and Sambalpuri double ikkat with more elaborate detailing on the motifs.
